Table Mountain in Cape Town now has controlled vehicle access at a busy visitor destination. Turnstar supplied and installed two 3 m Velocity Nitro automatic vehicle barriers with radar sensors at the vehicle access point.
The Velocity Nitro is suited to high volume access and medium levels of security. The integrated LED barrier arms improve visibility at the entry point, while the radar sensors add safety and detection support for vehicle movement.
At a landmark site such as Table Mountain, controlled access helps manage visitor traffic, staff movement and service vehicles in a clear and safer way. The result is better flow at the entry point and more controlled operation where many people pass through each day.
