Virgin Active Three Rivers in Vereeniging continues to use two legacy Turnstar Trident waist high turnstiles after more than 25 years of service. This long operating life reflects the durability and reliability expected from access control equipment that is used every day at a health club reception entrance.
Turnstar also installed a new semi automatic special needs gate beside the existing turnstiles. The gate is built in stainless steel with a glass wing and provides wider assisted access for wheelchair users, prams, deliveries and other movement that does not suit a standard turnstile lane.
Health clubs need access control that supports member flow while still allowing inclusive and practical entry where required. This combination of long serving turnstiles and a special needs gate shows how controlled access can remain secure, functional and adaptable over many years of use.
